Who it's for
If you are tasting Burovski for the first time, start here. Of the three, DOMAŠNA is the one that needs the least explaining.
The name
Domašna simply means “from home”. It doesn't need a bigger name than that.
How it's made
Maleševo plums, a copper still and a wood fire. Then five quiet years in barrels of Maleševo blagun oak — and a 0.7 litre bottle.
At the table
At room temperature, in a small glass. With meze — cheese, cured meat, pickles — or on its own, whatever the visit calls for.
